Very Good to Near Fine book with bit of slant and slight starting at front hinge, in a similar jacket with light edge wear and slight rubbing, price of $2.50 present. Quite nice copy that is signed and inscribed by author on first FEP in blue ink and dated 1962. Rickenbacker was the U.S.’ most famous Ace during WWI. He was a civilian in WWII but was on a mission to the Asian Theatre, supposedly to deliver a secret message to McArthur. The B-17 he was in went down in the Pacific, and this book is his recounting of the survivors drifting at sea in life rafts for 24 days before being rescued.

This is Ruark’s classic story of his mentoring in the ways of the outdoors by his grandfather. A book to read multiple times.

Near Fine, unread book with several light spots pages edges, and a very slight push at top of spine; in a Near Fine jacket with light rubbing on panels, and age yellowing along the edges. Sellers was wounded in a Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) protest when South Carolina State Troopers fired on the demonstrators, killing 3 and wounding 26.
